Paul Lesarge

1958 — January 1, 2016

PAUL LESARGE 1958 - 2016 Passed suddenly in his home in London, Ontario. Predeceased by his daughter Genevieve and survived by his three other children Aaron, Andrew and Lauren. He will be remembered and dearly missed by parents Margaret and Gerry, siblings Mary Ann, Keith, Judy, Mark, and Nancy and his former wife Morag. He lived the good life of a miner in his youth and upgraded to that of a lawyer, working in business, immigration and family law. He worked with children's services in the Arctic where he mounted a successful constitutional challenge to an aspect of child welfare law that he believed unjust. He loved his job for the opportunity to help others and truly did his part in making the world a better place. He possessed a keen wit, a way with words, was artistically skilled with both a pen and carving knife and enjoyed playing out some sweet licks on the guitar. A lover of hockey, history, food and science, Paul enjoyed sitting with friends at the pub and telling jokes, perfecting food recipes and continually sought for truth and knowledge. The world is a hero short. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London, on Wednesday, May 18th, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. with prayers at 6:45 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. George's Church, 1164 Commissioners Road West, London, on Thursday, at 11:00 a.m. Private interment in Elliot Lake at a later date.
