At the age of 72, on September 29th, 2021 after a long and courageous battle with cancer, Peter Pytlik passed away surrounded by his loving family, in London, Ontario.
Peter is survived by his loving wife, Helen. He was a proud and devoted father of his three children: Angie, Kasia, and Paul; and his son-in-law Keegan Hawkeswood. A loving brother of Mark and his family in Poland. He was predeceased by his parents and his brother, Gregory.
Inspired by his daughter's passion for running, at the age of 63, Peter took up marathon running. He completed seven full marathons including the Toronto Marathon, Walt Disney World Marathon, and the Honolulu Marathon. His zest for life was shown through his marathon accomplishments along with his love for travel, which were always topics of conversation. Peter was proud of his Polish heritage, helping to foster London's Polish Community and as President of the Polish National Association for many years.
Always ready and willing with a helping hand, Peter will forever be remembered for his unspoken kindness, his quiet determination, and a cheeky twinkle in his eye.
