It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of our beloved father Pietro Pirocchi on Thursday, September 16, 2021 in his 99th year. Cherished husband of our wonderful mother Elisabetta (2018). Loving father of Aurelio (Jane), Lisa, and Rita (John). Dear special Nonno of Sarah (Brent), Laura (Jeff), Nathan (Gini), Adam, Laurenne and Michael. Dear Bisnonno of Caitlyn, Taylor, Kylie, Devin, Adelaide and Leandro. Dear Zio to many nieces and nephews in Canada, Italy and France. Very special Zio to Amy, Joe, Ed, Rose and Annamaria. Predeceased by his parents Leandro and Pasquarosa Pirocchi and his siblings Vincenzo (Maria), Luigi (Malvina), Serafina (Antonio) and Giovanni (Lucia). Pietro was the last of a wonderful legacy of the Pirocchi siblings. Dad was born In Miano, Italy. He immigrated to Canada in 1952 in search of a better life for his wife and children. He started working at McHale's Shoes before establishing his own successful shoe repair business, United Shoe Repair in Wortley Village, where he worked tirelessly until his retirement.
