Reno Sammut

Peacefully surrounded by his family at Dearness Home in London, on Sunday, January 27, 2019, Reno Sammut, in his 96th year. He now joins his beloved wife of 40 years Doris (nee Cassar, 1992), son Joe (2018), granddaughter Jennifer (2017), three brothers and three sisters.Reno leaves behind his children Tony (Mary), Fred (Debbie) and Mariam (Chris); Barb Boudreau; his grandchildren Shane (Monika), Jamie, Adam (Sarah), Justin (Sarah), Michael (Justine), Andrew (Jessica), Annette, and Dee-Dee (Troy); 7 great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. In Malta, he is survived by his dear sister "Cikka", and his nephews and nieces.Born in Mosta, Malta in 1923, Reno immigrated to Canada where he and Doris (of St. Paul's Bay, Malta) sought and built a life together in Canada, getting married and raising their children in London, Ontario. A hard working father, and devoted employee of McCormick Canada for 37 and a half years, he loved to travel, going to the horse races, visiting the casino, and most of all spending time with his family. He also enjoyed watching football matches, the Toronto Blue Jays, and the Toronto Maple Leafs. He will be dearly missed by his loving family. A private family service will be held.
