Richard Gemus

It is with heavy hearts that we announce the passing of Rick Gemus, on August 29, 2021, at the age of 57. Dear son of Roger Gemus (Johanna) and predeceased by his mother Marilyn Gemus (Menard). Loving father to Benjamin Gemus of Cambridge and Curtis Gemus (Christina) of Stratford. Dear brother of Mark Gemus of Barrie, Kelly Caines (Jay) of London and Heidi Julien (Karl) of Strathroy. Beloved and long-time friend of Carol Locking of London. Proud Grandpa to Dominic, Kayden and Jade. He will be missed by nieces and nephews, David, Sarah, Gregory, Tristan, Alanna and Cameron.

Rick was a lifelong fan of the Boston Bruins and loved to have a tall boy while watching games and also an avid Nascar fan. If desired, memorial donations can be made to the ALS Society of Canada. ( www.als.ca )


Visitors will be received at O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London, Ontario, N6B 3C7 on Friday, September 3, 2021 from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. and 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. (Prayers at 7:30 p.m.). Mass of Christian burial on Saturday, September 4, 2021 at 11:00 a.m. (visitation at 10:00 a.m.) at St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, 1 Fallons Lane, London, Ontario, N5V 5C1. Interment to follow at St. Peter's Cemetery.

As per COVID-19 regulations, wearing of masks and physical distancing is required. All visitors will be required to provide their name and contact information for contact tracing at both the funeral home and the church upon arrival.
