Suddenly, at his residence in London, on Wednesday, February 1, 2012, Father Richard Anthony Hurdle in his 55th year. Father Hurdle attended St. Peter's Seminary and was ordained for the Archdiocese of Montreal on May 6, 1986, serving there for two years in parish ministry. He was incardinated into the Diocese of London on May 20, 1993. Father Hurdle served as associate pastor, administrator, pastor and priest-chaplain in Essex, Windsor, Ingersoll and London deaneries from 1989-2011. His pastoral appointments included St. Anne, Tecumseh (1989-1993), St. Gabriel, Windsor (1993-1994), St. Mary, Woodstock and Sacred Heart Mission, Princeton (1994-1995), St. Mary, Tillsonburg (1998); Sacred Heart, Delaware (1995-1998); Holy Angels, St. Thomas (1999-2001); St. Justin's, London (2003-2008) and hospital priest-chaplain at London Health Sciences Centre (2008-2011). He also served as co-chaplain for Brother Andre Council #8339 of the Knights of Columbus (2006).Visitation will be on Tuesday, February 7, in Holy Angels Church, (502 Talbot St., St. Thomas, ON) from 7:00 p.m. to be concluded with a prayer service at 8:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. with Bishop R.
