Surrounded by her family, at Extendicare London on Tuesday, January 6, 2009, Rita Charlotte Dewan in her 90th year. Beloved wife of the late Leo Michael Dewan (2006). Survived by her loving son Michael Dewan and her daughter-in-law Jacqueline of Arva. Rita will be missed by her grandchildren Kelly (Jeff Kippels), Robert Zavitz (Jennifer) and Jeremy Zavitz all of Minneapolis, MN., and James, Meagan and Hilary Dewan and their friends Anna Lisa Espina and Matthew Mezenberg. Great-grandmother of Sean, Ben, Mara, Isabelle and Zoe. Also survived by her sister-in-law Carol Pidgeon of Sudbury, Mary and Norbert Lewis and Mildred Dewan. Predeceased by her beloved children Gerrard (1987) and Marion Zavitz (2000), her brother Gerald Pidgeon and her son-in-law John Zavitz (2001). Visitors will be received in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. on Friday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Michael’s Church (Maitland & Cheapside) on Saturday at 10:00 a.m. Private interment St. Peters Cemetery.
