Peacefully at University Hospital, London, on Wednesday, November 30, 2016, Romas Mitalas in his 84th year. Beloved husband of Nancy Callaghan. Survived by his sister Giedre Zukauskas of Hamilton and his sister-in-law Dalia Mitalas. Also survived by numerous nieces and nephews. Predeceased by his siblings Algirdas and Jura. Romas was a professor emeritus of the Department of Physics and Astronomy for the University of Western Ontario. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Friday, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Funeral Service will be celebrated in the Chapel of O'Neil Funeral Home on Saturday at 10:30 a.m., followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Memorial donations may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation. www.heartandstroke.ca
