Rosalina Di cesare

Rosalina "Lina" passed away peacefully with her family by her side on October 30, 2018 at University Hospital, London, in her 93rd year. Predeceased by her beloved husband Antonio Di Cesare (2003). Loving mother of Andrea, his wife Teresa and Remo and his wife Vincenza. Cherished Nonna of Vanessa, her husband Massimo and Rosalyn. She will be missed by many nieces and nephews, both in Canada and Italy. Rosalina was the surviving sibling of six which included Giuseppe Casasanta, Lauro Casasanta, Carmela Antonucci, Eva Zavarella and Sestino Casasanta. She was respected in London's Italian Pratolano community and was one of the last of her generation, immigrating to Canada in 1953. Lina was considered the matriarch of her old neighbourhood on Erie Ave. in London where she lived for 56 years, taking great pride in maintaining her plants and garden before recently moving into the Dearness home. She had fond memories of her jobs at Jarmain Cleaners, Philips of Canada and at Mount St. Joseph where she loved preparing lunch for the students. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Friday, November 2, 2018 from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00 - 8:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church, 345 Lyle at York on Saturday, November 3, 2018 at 10:00 a.m., followed by entombment in St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Prayers Friday at 3:00 p.m. The family would like to thank the Dearness PSW's for their compassionate care.
