Rose Salim Ghafari

With heavy hearts and profound sadness, we announce the passing of Rose Salim Ghafari, who peacefully departed this life on Tuesday, March 19, 2024. Rose's journey to eternal rest reunites her with her beloved husband Michael, her cherished sons Maroun and Saliba, who have gone before her.

Rose leaves behind a legacy of love and strength that will forever be remembered by her children George, Mona, Bshara, Jeandarc, Odette, Emile, Saad, and Antoinette. Her devotion to her family was unparalleled, and her unwavering love and guidance will continue to resonate through the generations.

Beyond her immediate family, Rose is survived by numerous grandchildren, great-grandchildren, and a vast extended family, all of whom were touched by her kindness, generosity, and grace.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be held on Friday, March 22, 2024, at 11:00AM at St. Elias, Maronite Rite Catholic Church (267 Adelaide St. S.), where Rose's life will be celebrated and honoured. Visitation will be held prior to the funeral mass, starting at 9:30AM, offering an opportunity for friends and loved ones to pay their respects and share in the memories of a remarkable woman whose impact knew no bounds. In the embrace of faith and surrounded by the love of those she held dear, Rose Salim Ghafari has embarked on her final journey. Though she may no longer walk beside us, her spirit will forever live on in the hearts of all who were privileged to know her. May she find eternal peace and rest in the arms of Jesus.
