Sabina Birute Markas

Sabina Markas, nee Birute Pociute was born in Mosedis, Lithuania in 1932. She came to Canada after the Second World War with her parents and two brothers. She is survived by her two children, Lydia and Bernard, her two grandchildren Andrew and Emily, and two great-granddaughters, Skylar and Abigail. She was a homemaker and a devoted gardener. Her proudest achievement was a diploma in Floral Design from Guelph University. She will be remembered for her amazing garden that she spent the last twenty years of her life working on.
