Serafim Soares

Suddenly, at Meadow Park Nursing Home, London, with his family at his side, on Saturday, November 17, 2012, Serafim Soares in his 84th year. Beloved husband of the late Ernestina Soares (May 18, 2012) with whom he shared the past 55 years with an enduring love and commitment to each other and their family. Dear father of John (Eduarda), Nelia Camara (Jose), Teresa Armstrong (Bill), Carlos (Tracy) and Steve (Elizabeth). Loving grandfather of fifteen and great-grandfather of two. Brother-in-law of Aurelia Perreira and father-in-law of Adelina. Also survived by his brother Eduardo Da Ponte and his sister Ilda Amber. Predeceased by his beloved son, Serafim "Sam" (2010). Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. on Tuesday from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Mary Immaculate Church (1980 Trafalgar St. at Admiral Dr.) on Wednesday at 10:00 a.m. Entombment St. Peter's Cemetery, London. Serafim's family would like to thank all of the staff at Meadow Park for their thoughtfulness and care during his time there.
