Silvino Caetano De faria

Peacefully surrounded by his family at Victoria Hospital, London, on Wednesday, August 3, 2016 Silvino Caetano de Faria in his 90th year. Beloved husband of the late Didia Pereira Correia de Faria. Dear father of Alcida Baker and Ronald de Faria. Loving grandfather of Justin, Jennel and Racquel and great-grandfather of Conley, Chloe, Brooklyn, Raeann, Mya and Mateus. Predeceased by his daughter Felimena and his son Jose Umberto Correia de Faria. Silvino was born in Maia, Sao Miguel, Acores, Portugal on December 31, 1926 and immigrated to Canada in the early 50's. He was the last surviving member of his immediate family. Silvino was known among his family and friends for his excellence in wine making, a true artisan. He would often unify his family and friends by celebrating with fine food and drink. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Thursday from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Holy Cross Church, Elm St at Hamilton Rd. on Friday at 11:00 a.m. with Father Nelson Cabral officiating, followed by interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations may be made to Holy Cross Church, London, Ontario.
