Sister herman joseph (margaret) Blake

1922 — January 1, 2012

of the Community of the Sisters of St. Joseph of the Diocese of London died peacefully on Saturday, February 25, 2012 at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, in her 90th year of life and 70th year of religious profession. Sister is lovingly remembered by all her Sisters in community, her sister Veronica Griffiths and brother-in-law Guy, and her nephews David and Gregory. Predeceased by her parents William Blake and Mary (Kinahan), brothers William and Louis, and sister Helen (Birchall). Sister began her ministry as a teacher and a brilliant scholar, developing a love of languages and the ability to read in French, Spanish, Italian and German. Deeply loved and cared for by our Care Centre staff for many years, Sister had a congenial concern for those with whom she shared life, relished visits with her family members, and manifested a deep trust in God`s unconditional love. All services will be held at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 485 Windermere Rd., London. Visitation from 2:00 - 4:00 and 6:00-8:00 p.m. on Monday, February 27, 2012. Evening prayer at 6:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial on Tuesday, February 28, at 11:00 a.m., Rev. Richard Charette presiding. Interment: St. Peter's Cemetery. (O'Neil Funeral Home, 519-432-7136)
