Sister Mary Paschal, RPB

Sister Mary Paschal (Marion Irene) Griffin entered Eternal Life in the Lord gently and peacefully at our Hamilton Infirmary in the early morning of December 23, 2024. She is predeceased by her parents, Curtis Griffin and Martha Irene O’Connor; her brother, Father Merritt (Bud) Griffin; and her four sisters: Rosemary, Sister Margaret (Sister Mary Terrence, GSIB), Grace and Sister Lorraine, RPB. She is survived by several nieces and nephews and her Precious Blood Sisters.Born on May 17, 1923, Sister entered the Sisters of the Precious Blood in Toronto, ON, on September 15, 1941. She made her first Profession of Vows on May 5, 1943. All the Sisters of the Congregation lovingly remember Sister Mary Paschal for her wit and her gratitude for any little thing done for her due to her failing eyesight. Sister Mary Paschal took joy and pride in her cooking, which she did for many years. She served in various capacities in several of our Monasteries.A prayer service will be held at the Hamilton Monastery, 154 Northcliffe Avenue, Dundas, on Friday, December 27, at 7:00 p.m. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in the Monastery Chapel on Saturday, December 28, at 10:00 a.m., followed by interment at Holy Sepulchre Cemetery, Burlington, ON.
