Sister Mary Patricia Doyle of the Congregation of the Sisters of St. Joseph in Canada on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at the London residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, in her 86th year of life and 63rd year of religious profession. Lovingly remembered by her sisters in community, especially Sr. Eileen Marie Hunter and Sr. Kitty Stafford, her sister-in-law Claire, cousins Patty, Maureen, Cora and those in Ireland, as well as her good friend Vi, and the Sisters of the Precious Blood. Predeceased by her parents Thomas Doyle, Mary Ann Monaghan, and her brother Peter. Having entered the community in 1956 Mary Patricia was known for a period of time as Sr. Columkille. Her Irish roots enriched her various ministries of care and attention: from the warm greeting and hospitality that she extended to those who visited Mount St. Joseph, to the careful tending of her sacristan duties. During her last years of active ministry Sister Mary Patricia volunteered at Marian Villa and Mount St. Joseph, as well as creating beauty with her craft of sewing. All services will be held at the residence of the Sisters of St. Joseph, 485 Windermere Rd., London. Visitation Friday, December 7 from 1:30 – 5:00 and 6:00 – 7:30 p.m. Evening Prayer Friday, December 7 at 4:30 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial celebrated Saturday, December 8 at 9:30 a.m. Interment: St. Peter's Cemetery.
