Stanislaw Smoron

At University Hospital on Monday, August 31st, 2009, Rev. Father Stanislaw Smoron of the Congregation of St. Michael the Archangel (Michaelite Fathers), in his 47th year of life and 19th year as a priest. Fr. Stanislaw was born and ordained in his native land of Poland and came to Canada in 1996. With dedication and passion for God and His people, he ministered as Associate Pastor at Our lady of Czestochowa Parish, London and St. Teresa Parish in Etobicoke, Toronto. He has been serving as Pastor of Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish in London since 2005. Father Stan is the beloved son of Fabiola Smoron and the late Franciszek Smoron of Poland (2005). He is the dear brother of Danuta Rusiniak and uncle of Agnieszka and Wiktor of Poland. Also survived by an aunt and a number of cousins in the U.S.A. Predeceased by his brother-in-law Jozef (2005).
Visitation will be held in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. London on Thursday, September 3rd, from 6:00 - 9:00 p.m., with Rosary at 8:30 p.m.; then on Sunday, September 6th, to lie in State in Our Lady of Cestochowa Church, 419 Hill St., London, from 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. with evening prayers at 7:00 p.m. On Monday, September 7th, visitation will take place in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at which time the Funeral Mass will be celebrated with Bishop Ronald P. Fabrro, C.S.B. as the main celebrant. Interment will be in St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
