Rev. Father SOLTYSIK STANISLAW “STAN” C.S.M.A
At the residence of the Michaelite Fathers, on Saturday, April 11, 2009. Rev. Father Stan Soltysik of the Congregation of St. Michael the Archangel (Michaelite Fathers), in his 80th year of life and 52nd year as a priest. Fr. Stan was born and ordained in his native land of Poland and came to Canada in 1966. With dedication and passion for God and His people he ministered as Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, London and St. Andrew the Apostle Parish, London. He served as Pastor at St. Andrew Bobola Parish in Sault Saint Marie, Sacred Heart in Wingham, Holy Rosary in London and Our Lady Queen of Peace in Sarnia. Since 2007 he enjoyed his retirement at the residence of the Michaelite Fathers in Melrose. Dear brother of: Kazimiera, Maria, Antoni, and Tadeusz and families in Poland. Predeceased by brothers Jozef, Wladyslaw and Zbigniew with surviving families in Poland. Dear uncle of: Joanna Baginski and Dionizy Rodzinka and families in London, Ontario, Canada. Visitation will be held at the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. London on Sunday April 19, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 pm. Vigil prayers and Rosary will be said on Sunday at 7:00 pm. Visitation will also take place on Monday, April 20 at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, 419 Hill St., London, from 9.30 a.m. -10.30 am., where the Funeral Mass will be celebrated at 11:00 am with Bishop Ronald P. Fabbro, C.S.B. as the main celebrant. Interment will be in St. Peter’s Cemetery, London.
