Terence Aitken

Suddenly at his residence in London, on Sunday, September 7, 2014 Terence "Terry" Aitken in his 81st year. Loving husband of Emily. Father of Robert Aitken, Kelly Aitken (John Acton) and Scott Aitken. Grandfather of Greg (Ashley Aitken),Terry and Thomas. Great Grandfather of Amelioh. Terry is also survived by his sister Cathy Snow (Bill Pascoe) and numerous nieces, nephews and cousins. Terry was born in Edinburgh, Scotland, but Canada (with winters in Zephyrhills, Florida) was his home. Few are aware, but it was on the ship to Canada that he met his wife Emily of 51 years. Terry worked for General Motors until his retirement in 1996, bringing his love of cars home with him to his own garage. He took pride in his gardening, his home's appearance and always enjoyed time spent with family and friends. He will be greatly missed by everyone. Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Wednesday, from 2:00 - 4:00 and 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. John the Divine Church, 390 Baseline Road W. on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations to a London Chapter of St. Vincent de Paul would be appreciated.
