Teresa Tu uyen Le doan

1980 — January 1, 2019

Sister Teresa (Tu Uyen Le Doan) entered Eternal Life in the peace of the Lord and the hope of Resurrection at the Hamilton Precious Blood Monastery on Sunday, June 16, 2019 in her 39th year. Sister Teresa made her First Vows on October 7, 2017 in London, Ontario. She was assigned to our Hamilton Community in January, 2019. She leaves behind her parents, Doan Van Bon and Le Thi Bich Lien and her two younger brothers, Doan Le Quoc Thai and Doan Le Quoc Huy, all of whom reside in Vietnam, as well as her Religious Community, the Sisters of the Precious Blood. Born on August 19, 1980 in Vietnam, Sister Teresa had a love of life and enjoyed planting and caring for a small garden. Among other duties, she was sacristan at the Monastery in Hamilton. She always wanted to keep up to date with current affairs and was interested in everything that pertained to the Holy Father and Our Blessed Mother, Mary. She would daily pray the rosary and would often fall asleep saying it. She loved to cook and was talented in craft work and decorating the chapel for special feasts and celebrations. Visitors will be received in the Hamilton Precious Blood Monastery, 154 Northcliffe Avenue, Dundas, Ontario on Tuesday, July 9, from 10:00 a.m. until 11:00 a.m. at which time a Mass of Christian Burial will be concelebrated by Archbishop James Weisgerber, Father Peter Tuyen Nguyen and Father David Wilhelm, along with several other priest friends. Interment will take place in Vietnam. (O'Neil Funeral Home, London 519-432-7136)
