Trevor Darren Cranney

After a long and heroic battle with ALS, Trevor Darren Cranney passed away peacefully at LHSC on August 13, 2024, surrounded by his family in his 53rd year. Trevor was a true fighter, teaching us all what it means to face adversity with courage and resilience. He was the cherished husband of Jennifer (née Paquet), proud father of Austin (Emily), Zachary, and Ashley, and stepfather to Ayden Corriveau (Amy). Beloved son of Lloyd (Cathy) and Rosemary (née Yeates) and loving brother of Rose Paemurd (Nathan), Dave Foxx and Tammy Kuzma (Karl). Trevor was also a proud grandfather of Isabella, Alexandria, Julianna, and Hunter (Poirier), Colton and Berkley (Cranney). 

His strength and determination inspired many and he was deeply loved by his nieces, nephews and a long list of family and friends who will forever miss his presence. Trevor truly believed that LOVE never fails.Trevor was also a dedicated coach of hockey, football and of life, shaping the lives of countless young athletes and individuals with his passion, wisdom and commitment.

Special thanks to Parkwood at St. Joseph's Health Care as well as the ALS team, Emergency and CCTC at LHSC, who supported Trevor and his family throughout his journey.

The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Peter’s Cathedral Basilica, 196 Dufferin Avenue, on Saturday, August 24, 2024 at 10:00 a.m. Visitation will be held in the Cathedral prior to the Funeral Mass from 9:00 - 10:00 a.m.
