BETTENCOURT - VascoOctober 17, 1936 - July 10, 2010Suddenly at his home in London on Saturday, July 10, 2010, after a short illness in his 74th year. Beloved husband of Liduina Maria (Silveira) Bettencourt. Devoted father of Ana Tirolese (Anthony), Joe Bettencourt (Brenda) and Emilio Bettencourt (Barbara). Grandfather of Krystina, David, Alexander, Brittany, Andrew and Sebastien. Great grandfather of Michael, Makaela, Tyrell and Dominic. Brother of Maria Rosaria DeMelo (Joao), Fernando Bettencourt (Rosa Maria) all of London, Alberto Bettencourt (Saozinha) of Sao Jorge, Azores and Maria Fernanda Bettencourt of London. Survived by many nieces and nephews. Vasco will be missed by family, many loving friends, colleagues and all who knew him. Visitation will be in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, on Wednesday from 2 - 4 and 7 - 9 p.m. The Funeral Mass will be celebrated in St. Mary's Church (345 Lyle at York) on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery, London.
