William Deryk

It is with deep sadness that we announce the passing of William "Bill" Deryk on January 13, 2014 at Chelsey Park Long Term Care in his 89th year. Beloved husband of Maria (Bouman) for 61 years. Loving father and father-in-law of Yvonne and Sam Circelli and Hans and Karen Deryk. Dearly loved Opa of Michelle Woods, Mandy Circelli (Rino Forgetta), Christopher Circelli (Julie Kiser) and Ryan & Cameron Deryk. Dear brother and brother-in-law of Jan and Corrie de Rijk, Wilma and Piet Aben, Toon and Diny de Rijk, Miep and Tiny Janssen and Louis and Diny Bouman all in the Netherlands and Anne Bouman in London. Loved uncle of many nieces and nephews here in Canada and in the Netherlands. Predeceased by his parents Jan (1961) and Maria (1997), his brother Albert (1945) and his sister Betsie (2012). Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St. on Thursday, from 2:00 - 4:00 & 7:00 - 9:00 p.m. Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in St. Peter's Basilica Cathedral (Dufferin at Richmond St.) on Friday at 1:30 p.m. Prayers Thursday at 3:00 p.m. Private family interment in St. Peter's Cemetery. The family would like to thank the staff of Chelsey Park 5th Floor for their excellent and compassionate care of Bill for the past four and a half years.
