Wladyslaw Krukar

At the Michaelite House on Wednesday, November 7, 2012, Rev. Father Wladyslaw Krukar of the Congregation of St. Michael the Archangel (Michaelite Fathers), died in his 90th year and 67th of his religious life. Fr. Wladyslaw was born in 1922 and ordained in 1955 in his native Poland and came to Canada in 1970. He ministered as Associate Pastor at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, London and other parishes in the Diocese of London and Hamilton. Fr. Krukar was the Superior of the Michaelite Fathers in Canada 1985-1990. He served as the Pastor at St. Andrew Bobola's parish in Sault Ste. Marie after which appointment he retired in 1997. Visitation will be held at O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., in London, on Sunday, November 11th from 7:00 - 9:00 pm with prayers at 8.30 pm; and at Our Lady of Czestochowa Parish, 419 Hill Street on Monday, November 12th from 10-10.45 am with the Funeral Mass to follow at 11:00 am, with Bishop Emeritus John M. Sherlock as the main celebrant. Interment St. Peter's Cemetery, London. May he rest in peace.
