We are deeply saddened to announce the peaceful passing of Young-Sook Kim, with her family by her side, at Victoria Hospital in London, Ontario, on Friday, September 25, 2020. Young-Sook was born in South Korea on October 25, 1947 to the late Pal-Mok Kim and the late Hae-Nam Jeun. She is survived by her loving husband Chun-Sik Kim and her daughters Mary Reitsma (Steven) of London, Julia Kim Gohn (Ivan) of Toronto and Lynda David (Cosma) of Toronto. She is the loving "Halmoni" to her beloved grandchildren Jacob, Ava, Ayrton and Rainer. She is missed by dear extended family members and friends. Young-Sook immigrated to Canada in 1973 leaving her 4 brothers and 3 sisters, to start a new life with her husband and young children. First stop was Toronto but eventually they made London home for the past 37 years. Her unconditional love for her family and her deep faith for God and her Church was an inspiration. Special thanks to the entire team in Bay 1, Critical Care Trauma Centre at London Health Sciences Centre for their care and compassion of Young-Sook. In lieu of flowers, those wishing to make a donation in memory of Young-Sook are asked to consider Parkinson's Society of Southwestern Ontario (www.canadahelps.org) or London Health Sciences Foundation (www.lhsf.donordrive.com) Visitors will be received in the O'Neil Funeral Home, 350 William Street, London on Thursday, October 1st, from 5:30 - 6:00, 6:15 - 6:45, 7:00 - 7:30 and 7:45 - 8:15 p.m. Attendance for each visitation period is limited and registration is required.
