After a long full life, Zofia Mitoraj passed away peacefully at the Montfort Hospital in Ottawa at the age of 103. She is predeceased by her husband Klemens and her son Ricky. She is survived by her son Edward, daughters Wanda Graham and Sylvia (Chris) and two grandchildren Jennifer and Andrew Graham. Zofia was born in Poland in 1920. She was a WWII survivor and spent many years in a forced work camp. She immigrated to Canada in 1948, arriving in Halifax at Pier 21. She eventually moved to London where she and her husband farmed, worked hard and raised their children. Her happiest moments were those spent with family and friends and working in her gardens. Zofia will be remembered for so many things but especially for being a hard worker, her love of family, her selflessness and her wonderful sense of humour. Visitors will be received on Monday, September 30, 2024 from 5:00 - 7:00 p.m. in the O’Neil Funeral Home, 350 William St., London. The Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated in Our Lady of Czestochowa Church, 419 Hill Street, on Tuesday at 10:00 a.m. Funeral Prayers will be held in the church on Tuesday at 9:30 a.m. prior to the Funeral Mass.
